Transmute traumas and emotions with the Didgeridoo and Neuro Linguistic Programming

What is Neuro Linguistic Programming?

Most people have never even heard of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

NLP is considered to be the science of excellence.

Co-created by Dr Richard Bandler and Dr John Grinder in the 1970's,  NLP provides a tool box of techniques to understand how we think and to change the structure of thoughts to be able to live a more fulfilling life.

Neuro refers to the processes of how we perceive and interpret information through our senses.

Linguistics refers to how we use internal (inner self talk) and external communication (interaction) to reinforce how we interpret the information that we are perceiving.

Programming refers to how we unconsciously process this information.

For example:  Think of a purple elephant.

NLP is more interested in how do you know that you are thinking of a purple elephant rather than what the elephant actually looks like.  The same is true for trauma.  NLP is more interested in how you are processing that trauma rather than the trauma itself.  How do you know you are thinking the thought?

Therefore NLP can often be without any content or the story that is never ending self talk and visualisation that ultimately leads to unwanted feelings.

Gregg is a registered member with the Australian Association for Neuro Linguistic Programming.

Acknowledgement to Country

I would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and in particular on which I live and work mainly being the Kaurna, Peramangk, Ngarrindjeri and specifically the Ramindjeri region.

I would also like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the yidaki, commonly known as the didgeridoo.   I do not profess to teach, use or practice healing methods used by the traditional owners and my use of the didgeridoo to help people to engage in their healing, therapy or recovery has come about through my own experience over the many years that I have been practicing.
